This Privacy Policy explains what information Tookit LLC ("Tookit", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Tookit you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

To run the reminder service, we collect:

Your name
Phone number (the number that receives reminders)
Email address
Reminder times and your timezone
An optional nickname and a short personal note, if you choose to add one (used only to personalize your reminder — never medication or health details)
Emergency contact name and phone number(s)
An optional caregiver email address, if you choose to add one
Your chosen time between reminders, and any commands you text us (such as PAUSE or SKIP)

How we use your information

Your phone number — to send the medication reminder texts and calls you schedule, up to two follow-up reminders if you don't reply, a one-time sign-up confirmation text, replies to HELP and STOP, replies to commands you text us (PAUSE, RESUME, SKIP, TIME), and one-time account notices such as a cancellation confirmation.
Emergency contact phone numbers — to send each contact a one-time text telling them they were added, and an alert text only if you miss a reminder.
Your email address — for account and billing messages (including your welcome email and an optional weekly summary of confirmed reminders), and to match your sign-up with your subscription.
Caregiver email (optional) — to send the person you name a copy of your welcome email, your weekly summary, and an email if a reminder goes unconfirmed. Only add someone you are happy to share this with; they never see medication details, because we never collect them.
Reminder times, timezone, nickname and note — to schedule and personalise your reminders.

We do not use your information for advertising or marketing, and we do not send marketing text messages.

What we do not collect

Tookit does not store or disclose any medication names. We store contact information and reminder preferences only. We never see your card details — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.

How we store your information

Your information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems that only Tookit staff can access — including spreadsheet-based records we use to operate the service and keep track of reminder and response history. Payment information is handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe, and never touches our servers.

If something goes wrong

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users by text or email without undue delay, and will comply with applicable breach-notification laws.

How we share information

We share your information only with the service providers that run Tookit for us: Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages and calls), Google (secure storage of your sign-up details) and Tally (our sign-up form). They may use it only to provide the Tookit service. We do not share your information with anyone for marketing, and we never sell it. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Text messaging (SMS) privacy

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Your mobile number is used only to send the reminders and alerts you signed up for.

Message frequency varies by your reminder schedule (up to 3 reminder messages or calls per day). Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. For help, email support@utookit.com.

Emergency contacts

If you name an emergency contact, we store their name and phone number only to alert them if you miss a reminder. Each emergency contact receives a one-time text telling them they were added, and after that only receives a text if a reminder goes unconfirmed. They can reply STOP at any time to stop all texts from Tookit. Emergency contact numbers are never shared with third parties or used for marketing.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you cancel and request deletion, we delete your personal data.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@utookit.com. You may opt out of automated messages at any time by replying STOP to any text.

Children

Tookit is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
